Posting of Awards
While buyers are, by Government policy, supposed to post the winners, this is not always done.
This can be for a wide range of reasons, sometimes no award is given at all and the procurement is cancelled, sometimes procurement departments are too busy and things get forgotten, or sometimes things drop through the cracks as people change roles.
Postings can also take months before they are uploaded, as contract negotiations are finalised and details checked or completed.
It is worth noting that the supplier’s permission might need to be sought and they need to sign off on the detail of the announcement – this itself can add months as suppliers may be reluctant to have the information released.
CFP presents the information that is publicly available, but just because it’s not searchable doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened!
